BUSATO, Alessandro

August 5, 1927 – May 25, 2022

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Alessandro Busato on May 25, 2022 in Toronto at the age of 94 years old. Beloved husband to Adelina (neé Menegazzi) for over 66 years. Cherished by his children Paolo (Catriona) and Emanuela (Anthony). Proud loving Nonno of Stephanie and Lorenzo. He will be missed by his brother Emilio (Maria).

Alessandro is now reunited with his parents Giuseppe Busato and Luigia Berto, his siblings Guilio, Amelia, Antonietta, Aurellio and Antonella. Alessandro will be forever remembered by his nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Alessandro was a skilled carpenter by trade. His faith gave him a strong foundation of moral values. He was an active member of his Church community participating and volunteering with both the CNIB and Villa Charities. We are grateful for all the many treasured memories.  We will miss him deeply and he will forever live in our hearts. 

Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at the Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W at Dufferin St.). Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery (7300 Hwy 27, north of Steeles Ave. W.). Donations in Alessandro’s memory can be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or Villa Charities.
