Obituary for Algisa Chiavaroli

Algisa Chiavaroli

March 3, 1932 – November 18, 2022

Late Friday evening, November 18, Algisa passed away peacefully, at the ago of 90 with her family by her side. She will be welcomed in heaven by her husband, Luigi. Algisa was married by proxy and travelled to Canada on her own by boat to join her husband. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and always placed her own comforts secondary to the interests of her family.

She was a woman that left a lasting impression. She built a number of strong friendships wherever she went, from her job at Patons and Baldwins, Florida vacations, and rehab centres. Her greatest past time over the summer months was going for long walks and in the winter months it was playing cards with her sister Iolanda, sister-in-law Eleondina and neighbour Maria. She showed her love for family and others by her actions, such as bringing meals to an ailing relative.

Losing her has left an immeasurable hole in our hearts. She will be greatly missed by her children Carlo (Christina) and Luisa (Dennis), her five grandchildren Laura (Francesco), Diana (Robert), Julia (Mark), Brett and Jacqueline, and her great grandson Massimo.

Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 2 - 4 & 6 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.)  on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Algisa will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.
