God called Antonino on September 11, 2020 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Maddalena. Cherished by his children, Pasquale (Fifina), Onofrio (predeceased 2004) (Sharon), Jerry, Richie (Laura). Loving nonno to Alessia, Daniel, Rebecca, Joshua, Jessica, Natalie, and Nicholas. He is predeceased by his parents Pasquale and Teresa and siblings, Felicia (Nicola), Maria (Domenico), Anna, Onofrio and Filippo. Always remembered by his sisters-in-law Maria-Teresa and Rosa and brothers-in-law Domenic (Rosemarie) and Joseph. Predeceased by his father-in-law Onofrio (Giovanna). He will be greatly missed by all his extended family.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. Please note, that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions and social distancing requirements, for the visitation, the funeral home must conform to 30% occupancy capacity. Visitors may need to wait to enter the funeral home in order to maintain the capacity requirement. Face masks are mandatory and contact tracing information will be collected upon entering the building.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine of Canterbury Church (80 Shoreham Dr. - Jane St., south of Steeles Ave.) on Monday, September 21, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Please note, that the capacity of St. Augustine is 130 people and you are required to wear face masks.
A private entombment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery. Due to the limited number of people allowed in the mausoleums, only the immediate family members will attend the services at the cemetery.
If desired, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation in memory of Antonino.
