Obituary for Antonio Borsellino

It is with profound sorrow that we mourn the peaceful passing of our patriarch, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Antonio Borsellino on April 29, 2020 at the age of 92 . Beloved husband of 66 years of Gina (nee Ferlisi), loving father of Peter (Dora, predeceased), Nancy (Eric), devoted Nonno to Francesco (Adrianne), Lucia (Anthony), Jennifer (Michael), Natasha and Michael (Gina), cherished Bisnonno to Gia, Roman and Alessia.

Tony will be forever remembered by his brother Joe, sister Rosa, brother in law Jack (Carmela), brother in law Charlie (Angela). Zio Tony will be forever missed by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Antonio was born in Cattolica Eraclea, Sicily in 1928, and emigrated with his wife and infant son to Toronto Canada in 1956. After the arrival of his daughter he started his own business. He was the founder and proud owner of BORSELLINO & SON on Rogers Rd. where he imported grapes for wine, had a Garden Center, and a hardware store for many years. He was very hard working and devoted to his family especially the love of his life, “Gina” and was happiest when surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing and get-togethers with his extended family and many friends. He was famous for his toasts in Italian and a master at making them rhyme. He was proud of his Italian roots, reading the Italian newspaper daily, loved singing Italian songs and watching Seria A soccer every Sunday. He was also very fond of his second home, West Palm Beach, Florida, and vacationed there every winter for many decades. He will be forever in our hearts, and greatly missed by his large extended family and many friends worldwide.

Due to present circumstances it is with heavy hearts that our family has decided to hold a private funeral with our immediate family. We appreciate your love and support and we welcome your messages of condolences.
