Obituary for Antonio Cavaliere

Antonio Cavaliere

November 2, 1936 - May 6, 2023

It is with profound sadness and deepest regrets that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather. Antonio was the cherished husband of the late Elvira, with whom he created a beautiful and fulfilled life.

Antonio passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 6, 2023 at the age of 86.

Antonio will continue to live on in the hearts of his adoring children Angela (Joe), Frances (Tony), Anna (Richard), Silvana (Chris), and treasured grandchildren Marco (Cristina), Amanda, Paul, Adrian, Jessica, Catherine, Vanessa, Anthony and Christopher, and great-granddaughter Michela.

Antonio was a true gentleman with a loving spirit, who will forever be remembered for his passionate dedication and devotion to his family, whom he cherished deeply. His work ethic was unmatched, and drove his success as a barber and entrepreneur. Fondly known as “Tony the Barber”, his establishment “Tony’s Place” was a great source of pride and accomplishment.

Although the loss of our beloved patriarch is felt immensely, we are given great solace knowing that Daddy has now been reunited with the love of his life, his darling Elvira, wife of 61 years.

Visitations will be held at the Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Friday, May 12, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:15 a.m. Folllowing the Funeral Mass, Antonio will be laid to rest at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St., north of Finch Ave. W.).
