Assunta Cafarelli

March 12, 1933 – July 4, 2022

With sadness, we announce the passing of Assunta on July 4, 2022 at the age of 89. Reunited with her husband Antonio (August 13, 2014), she leaves behind her beloved children George (Anna), Mario, and Maria (Felice). Proud nonna of Anthony (Tania), Susan (Dave), Daniel (Alessia) and Domenique and great-grandmother of Christian, Annalia, Matteo, Andrew, Antonio and Stefano. Predeceased by her brother Francesco, she is survived by her sisters Anna and Concetta and her sister-in-law Angelina. A dear Zia, she will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families.

Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 3-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. Assunta's Mass will be livestreamed via St. Charles Borromeo's YouTube Page. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery (7300 Highway 27, north of Steeles Ave.).
