Obituary

ANDREWS, Chris
Unexpectedly, on Christmas Day 2020 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Loving son of Anna and John (predeceased) Andrews. Cherished brother of Frances and Helen (George). Forever remembered by his niece and nephews, Olivia, Arthur, and Christopher. He will be sadly missed by his friends who were like brothers to him. Relatives and friends are welcomed to The Bernardo Funeral Homes 2960 Dufferin Street, Toronto, on Wed. December 30, 2020 from 9 - 9:30 a.m, followed by a Private Service in our chapel at 9:30 am.

As the Province of Ontario has moved into the more restricted ‘lockdown’ category during this pandemic, our family has made the difficult decision to hold a private funeral service and burial for Chris on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.

I sit back in total disbelief of what has happened to such a caring, respectful, thoughtful, generous and wonderful gentleman to my brother in law Chris. Someone who always had a smile on his face and in his voice and would always ask how everyone was, always without fail.

For someone that l met before my wife Helen and despite the distance we shared some great and memorable times together.

Always taking his time grooming himself, battling the never ending pouring perspiration to ensure his hair was perfectly coifed and then donning fine clothing before going out to enjoy a memorable gourmet meal or just a hot dog at the baseball. A routine that I will sadly miss.

Great BBQs, talking about everything and nothing, sharing quite a few beers or a glass or two of J&B, spectator to some of Chris' trick mishaps and having the pleasure of witnessing his excitement at a golfing hole in one at the Yarrambat Golf Course in Melbourne and the long celebration afterwards.

Chris always enjoyed friendships and was loved by the company around him and will truly be missed by family, friends and buddies.

A wonderful son to his parents, brother to Fran and Helen and adored Vouche to Olivia, Arthur and Christopher you will truly be missed but forever be in our hearts.

Your buddy George

Our deepest condolences to the Andrews family on the passing of Chris. Chris truly loved his family, his loving care of his mom which was evident in the banter when we would share a glass of wine in the backyard over looking that incredible garden. In his words reflecting on his dad, the care of his sister and the how his eyes gleaned with happiness when speaking of his sister and her family, especially of his niece and nephews accomplishments...truly a man with the biggest heart. Today and always, may loving memories bring you peace, comfort and strength. Linda Sgorlon, Carmine and family

Chris was a very important part of our childhood. We grew up together like sisters and brother and treasure our neighbourhood memories. We cared deeply about Chris and will always admire how loyal he was to his family. We always remember sitting in our backyards, enjoying a glass of wine while barbecuing and enjoying our parents spectacular gardens. We will really miss seeing you Chris. May your memory be eternal.
