Obituary for Concetta DiBiase (Spensieri)

DiBiase, Concetta

Peacefully and angelically, God called Concetta home to His Heavenly Kingdom on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the age of 85. Concetta will always be remembered and missed by her loving husband, Pasquale of 63 years. She will forever be the cherished mother of her children Lina (Tony Varriano), Peter (Luisa DiBiase) and Mary (Ralph Petrungaro) and the Guardian Angel and proud Nonna of Alexia and Brenda. Concetta will be reunited in Heaven with her beloved parents Vittoria and Pasquale Spensieri, and her dear siblings Giovanni and Maria (Benny). She will always be a special sister to Agata (the Late Michele) and Cristina (the Late Giovanni) and will be held dear in the hearts of her relatives, especially her nieces, nephews, and her many friends.
Concetta will be remembered as a wise, selfless, spiritual, and devoted Catholic woman of faith who was an active parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church. She was a gifted seamstress and a master baker of homemade cookies and her renowned vanilla and lemon cake, which nobody could ever duplicate! She found joy and happiness in always putting her family and friends’ well-being before her own. In her latter years, Concetta settled in Casa Del Zotto, where she enjoyed playing Bingo and being involved in social activities and luncheons with her many good friends whom she shared a mutual respect and countless memories. Her fellow tenants will all miss her dearly.

Concetta will always be remembered, fondly with her beautiful smile. She has been an inspiration to many and her life lessons will live on in all the lives of the people she touched in her most gentle and blessed ways.

Rest in Eternal Peace, until we are reunited in Heaven.

Concetta’s family is eternally grateful to all their loving family and friends for all their support during this time. As much as they would appreciate and need your physical presence and support, regrettably in the interest of everyone’s safety during this unbelievable pandemic, they have decided to have a Private Family Visitation at Bernardo Funeral Homes – Dufferin Chapel (2960 Dufferin Street, Toronto, Ontario 416-789-7661), followed by a Private Entombment at Prospect Cemetery.

However, all family and friends are encouraged to leave a message, share stories, and honour the life of Concetta on her Memory Wall. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation in her memory from our website. Donations can also be made directly to St. Charles Borromeo Church by contacting the Church at 416-787-0369.

The family would also sincerely appreciate if you would join them for the funeral service, which will be live streamed via Zoom. Please click on the Zoom link below.

The family looks forward to all of you joining them in a celebration of Concetta's life at St. Charles Borromeo Church in the future when the world returns to some normalcy.

A private funeral service and visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to participate online:
