Obituary for Elvira da Conceição Costa
With sadness, we announce the passing of Elvira da Conceição Costa on November 23, 2020 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jose Da Costa and her only daughter Elisa. She leaves behind her son-in-law Manuel Barreto and her grandchildren Carla (Sam Saccoia) and Mike (Ashley). Proud great-grandmother of Nicholas, Samantha, Elisa and Kianna.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Thursday, November 26, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. As the City of Toronto has moved into the more restricted ‘lockdown’ category during this pandemic, guests will now need to now schedule and reserve their time to attended visitations. Available on the Bernardo Funeral Home website (www.bernardofh.com) you can reserve for yourself and family time during the visitation. Face masks are mandatory and contact tracing information will be collected upon entering the building.
A private funeral service will follow the visitation and then Elvira will be laid to rest with her spouse and daughter at Prospect Cemetery.
Due to the limited number of people allowed to be in attendance, only the immediate family members will attend the services in the funeral home and at the cemetery.
