Obituary for Rocco Scopelliti
With sadness, we announce the passing of Rocco at home surrounded by his family on December 22, 2020 at the age of 85. Cherished husband for 44 years to Angela. Proud and beloved father of Fortunata (Vince Racco), Antonia, and Francesca. Predeceased by his siblings, parents and parents in law, Rocco is survived by his sister-in-law Maria Scopelliti. A memorable Zio, Rocco will be missed by his many nieces and nephews in Canada and in Italy and their families. Rocco will also be missed by many friends and family who have been by his side from the beginning and whom he was lucky enough to see in his last few days. He will always be remembered for his "Manaia a mbilinata!"
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. As the City of Toronto has moved into the more restricted ‘lockdown’ category during this pandemic, guests will now need to now schedule and reserve their time to attended visitations. Available on the Bernardo Funeral Home website (www.bernardofh.com) you can reserve for yourself and family time during the visitation (see below and click the blue RSVP button). Face masks are mandatory and contact tracing information will be collected upon entering the building.
A private funeral service will follow the visitation on Wednesday. Relatives and friends are welcome to participate online:

Following the service, Rocco will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Due to the limited number of people allowed to be in attendance, only the immediate family members will attend the services in the funeral home and at the cemetery.
In memory of Rocco, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
