Obituary for Filomena Scasserra (Del Riccio)

With sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Filomena on August 14, 2020 at the age of 76. Beloved wife to Antonio for 57 years and cherished mother of Maria Cristina and Rafael (Nancy). Proud nonna of Marlena, Nadia and Paris. Filomena will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Please note, that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions and social distancing requirements, for the visitation, the funeral home must conform to 30% occupancy capacity. Visitors may need to wait to enter the funeral home in order to maintain the capacity requirement. Face masks are mandatory and contact tracing information will be collected upon entering the building.

A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) at 1:00 p.m. Please note, that the capacity of St. Charles Borromeo Church is 200 people and you are required to wear face masks.

A private entombment will follow at Westminster Cemetery. Due to the limited number of people allowed in the mausoleums, only the immediate family members will attend the services at the cemetery.

If desired, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in memory of Filomena.
