With great sadness, we announce the passing of Fiorinda Valente on September 10th, 2020 at the age of 89. Fiorinda was a loving wife to Umberto Valente who passed away in 2012. Cherished by her children, Adriana (Predeceased 2009) & spouse John Zannella, Elio (Predeceased 2011) & spouse Michelle. Proud nonna to Giancarlo, Paul (Sarah, Predeceased 2017) and Lucas. Fiorinda will be deeply missed by all of her family and many friends.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Monday from 2-4, and 6-9 p.m. Please note, that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions and social distancing requirements, for the visitation, the funeral home must conform to 30% occupancy capacity. Visitors may need to wait to enter the funeral home in order to maintain the capacity requirement. Face masks are mandatory and contact tracing information will be collected upon entering the building.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Fidelis Parish (33 Connie Street, Toronto.) on Tuesday, September 15th, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Please note, the capacity at St. Fidelis Parish is currently 80 people and face masks are mandatory.
Due to the limited number of attendees permitted in the mausoleum, a private entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery
In memory of Fiorinda, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society
