Obituary for Tony Bifano

Francesco Antonio Bifano

'Tony Bifano'

June 16, 1970 - October 10, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Tony Bifano. He was 52 years old. Beloved son of Franca and the late Annunziato (2012). Tony is survived by his loving wife of twenty-four years, Nancy, and children Sarah, Christian and Isabella. Cherished son-in-law to Teresa and the late Jose (2018). He will be deeply missed by brother-in-laws Nelson (Laurie) and Jason (Sheree). Adoring Zio to Emilia, Carter, Celeste, Miles, and Josie. He will be forever remembered by his large extended family, uncles, aunts, cousins, and numerous friends.

Tony was a devoted family man with a heart of gold. He would do anything for his family and friends. His three children brought him his happiest moments and were his pride and joy. He was a loyal husband to Nancy and together they realized their dreams.

Tony had an unparalleled work ethic. He began working in the film industry in his early twenties and later branched off to start his own company, United Star Suites, alongside his Uncle Al. The company was later acquired by Starline Productions, where Tony continued to pave the way.

An avid sports fan since childhood, Tony worked within the Chirstie Pitts baseball community in his youth. He took great pride in managing his son Christian’s hockey team and was an adored mentor and friend.

Tony will always be remembered as a person who was larger than life. His presence commanded the attention of any room, and his big smile and gentle heart made people gravitate towards him. His generosity was limitless, and he was the happiest when surrounded by family and friends. He welcomed everyone into his home and provided them with an endless supply of BBQ, homemade pizzas, drinks and laughter.

Tony will be forever missed, forever loved and forever remembered.

Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church (72 Mansfield Ave. – Grace St., south of College St.) on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Tony will be laid to rest at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St. Clair Ave. W., east of Caledonia Rd.).
