January 3, 1931 - April 14, 2023
With sadness, we announce the passing of Francesco Brutto on April 14th, 2023 at the age of 92.
Proud father of Dante, Manuele (Denise), Pat (Mike) and Tony.
Loving Nonno to Robert, Katie, Rachel and Steven.
Predeceased by his brothers Mario (Ida+) and Giovanni. Survived by his siblings Luigi (Ada+), Barbara (Tony), Aldo (Gina) and sister in law Patricia.
Francesco, "La Vulpa di Piane Crati", was a man who marched to the beat of his own drum, and some would say a bit rough around the edges with a big heart. Francesco was known to most as a man who was generous, able to easily make friends and form bonds, quickly earned the respect of others, had a gregarious manner and a quick sense of humor.
He enjoyed being social, spending time with loved ones and at one time had a vegetable garden that was the envy of all his neighbours, which he would proudly show off and share its bounty with all who visited.
Francesco will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren, siblings, his many nieces and nephews, and his friends.

Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 10:.00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Avenue West, at Dufferin Street). Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Mausoleum (4570 Yonge Street, at Highway 401).
