Francesco Riga

July 21, 1926 – January 11, 2023

With sadness, we announce the passing of Francesco at home surrounded by his family on January 11, 2023 at the age of 96. Beloved husband for 70 years to Teresa and cherished father of Josie (Pat Conte), Teresa (John Memmo), Don (Fiorina) and Felicia (Onofrio). Proud nonno of Nicholas, Anna Teresa (Rob Pasutto), Francesco (Bridgette), Alexander, Daniel and Jessica and great-grandfather to Alessia, Gabriella, Abigail and Leonardo. Survived by his sister Maria, Francesco was predeceased by his remaining siblings. He will forever be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families.

Visitation will take place at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens (1810 Albion Rd., at Highway 27).
