It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Giuseppe Farrace, the patriarch of our family, who passed away peacefully, with family at his side on Saturday April 15, 2023 in his 86th year of life.
Giuseppe was born on September 25th, 1937 in Campobasso, Italy, and was the last surviving sibling of 8 children.
Loving & patient husband of Assunta Farrace, beloved father to Bruno (Anna), Claudio (Rosanna) and Gabe (Stella) Farrace. Adored and loved Nonno to Natasha (Tim), Steven (Kristyn), Michael (Sarah), Jessica (Michael) and Bis Nonno (Great Grandfather) to Matthew, Massimo, Serafina. He was a quiet & gentle friend to so many other family and friends.
After settling in Canada in 1955, Giuseppe was a long-time employee of ITT Aimco. Assunta Farrace (beloved wife) came from Italy in 1958. At 15.5 years of age, she needed to find work. Her fathers brother introduced her to Guiseppe Farrace, who took her to her 1st job.
That was fate and love at 1st sight. Shortly after this they were engaged and then married on Feb 21, 1959. That same year, on December 11th, 1959, Bruno was born and the beautiful family was started.
Giuseppe retired in 1990 after an on-the-job injury which then allowed him to stay at home with his wife Assunta. Giuseppe loved his garden, loved cleaning his patio which he built and loved having an espresso every morning while watching his flowers flourish.
His happiest moments were spending time with family, drinking a cold beer in the summer, eating gelato and leading our family bingo games on Christmas Eve. He took pleasure in all the little things and was so proud of his family and especially his grandkids.
Daddy you will forever be missed, forever remain in our hearts and saluted every Father’s Day and family holiday. Watch over us as you spread your wings in heaven. Forever in our hearts!

Funeral Mass: St. Francis of Assisi Parish (72 Mansfield Ave, Toronto, Ontario, M6J 2B2), Saturday, April 22nd at 10:00 a.m.
Burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery (Hwy 27 & Albion)
