It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Giuseppe (Joseph) Perconti, on December 5, 2020, with his loved ones at his side. Beloved husband of 50 years to Diana (nee Miele). Caring and devoted father to Gaspar, Katherine and Rosella.
Joseph immigrated to Canada from Sicily at 21 years of age, quickly learned the language, and self-started his own successful business. He was greatly respected by his clients and staff until retirement.
With an incredible sense of humor, he always knew how to make people feel comfortable in any situation. He was calm, patient & open-minded, which made him a one-of-a-kind Dad. With others, he was very generous and kind, always putting others before himself. He was an authentic and true gentleman.
Joseph will be remembered in the hearts of many family and friends, and we will miss him more than words can say.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. As the City of Toronto has moved into the more restricted ‘lockdown’ category during this pandemic, guests will now need to schedule and reserve their time to attend the visitation. Available on the Bernardo Funeral Home website (www.bernardofh.com) you can reserve for yourself and family time during the visitation. Face masks are mandatory and contact tracing information will be collected upon entering the building.
Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, the family will be having a Private Funeral service and Entombment. The funeral service will be live streamed via Zoom on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Please copy the link below, if you wish to join the family in remembering Joe.
