Obituary for Giuseppina Di Marino (Montemarano)

With sadness, we announce the passing of Giuseppina on August 2, 2020 at the age of 88. Predeceased by her beloved husband Antonio. Cherished mother of Joe (Lisa), Rosa (Luigi Spizzirri) and John (Josie). Proud nonna of Melissa (Michael), Gregory, Joseph, Rosemarie, Ettore (Lucia), Massimo, Mary-Ann (predeceased) Andrea (fiancé Francesco) and Anthony and great-grandmother to Aiden, Gemma, Giuliana, and Luca. Dear sister to Adelina (predeceased), Rochina, Maria, Raffaela and Carmen, she will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and their families.

Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. Please note, that due to COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions and social distancing requirements, for the visitation, the funeral home must conform to 30% occupancy capacity. Visitors may need to wait to enter the funeral home in order to maintain the capacity requirement. Face masks are mandatory and contact tracing information will be collected upon entering the building.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Please note, that the capacity of St. Charles Borromeo Church is 200 people and you are required to wear face masks.

Private entombment will follow at Prospect Cemetery.

In memory of Giuseppina, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
