Jaxon William Jurens was born in Toronto on February 21st 1955 & passed away on May 13th 2021 at the age of 66. He is survived by his wife Chris of 27 years, his son Jason and his two brothers John & Jim. He was always a lover of the outdoors, had a great passion for all forms of science and was a softly spoken, kind hearted individual who loved to meet & converse with people at any time. Many can attest to his friendly and warm nature which were some of his most defining qualities as an amazing spouse, father & friend. Though he is gone his memories will live on through us & he will be dearly missed by his family and friends but never forgotten as we remember all of the great things about him in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace knowing that he had accomplished so much & brought joy to many people's lives. Until we meet again.

In lieu of flowers we ask that people please donate to your favorite charity to help those in need, thank you for all your continued love and support during this time, it is greatly appreciated.

I have not met Jaxon. However, through my good friend Chris who is Jaxon's beloved wife, I got to know him as someone who won his wife's heart when she moved across the pond to join him in matrimony, got into a admirable bonding with his son Jason, and cared enough even when he was dealing with his own health issue asking his wife to find out from me how I am doing with the naturopathic over the counter supplement that they recommended.
I am sure that you Jaxon and your wife have worked well as a team in touching the lives of each other, Jason, your family and many others. May this family continue to serve and enjoy in the light of our Lord Jesus.

Jaxon specialized in not taking life very seriously! He always knew how to brighten up his friends' days, even when they felt down!

But he also had his private frustrating and sad moments, which only his close friends and family were well aware of, one of which was "I'm too hot!" Hmmm ... was that because he thought he was "hot" or did he often feel the heat?

All in all, Jaxon made light of almost everything, trying to solve everyone's problems but neglecting often to take care of himself. I'll miss you and your goofiness, my dear friend! I loved you more than a brother!

Good bye for now. From Berni Merten, Cheryl and the Merten family!
