John (Zeane) Tsamis

John (Zeane) Tsamis was born on August 29, 1933 in Katohi, Messolonghi, Greece. He was brother to six siblings. He immigrated from Greece to Canada as a mechanic specializing in trucks in the early 60s. He first landed in Montreal and then moved to Toronto where he was reunited with his brother Spiros, and his brother's family: his wife Maria, and two kids Diamantia and Filomena. He lived his life on his own terms: carefree, independent, and steadfast. He enjoyed walking around the city, and socializing with the Greek community. John, or Theo Gianni, will be dearly missed by his niece, Filomena, son in law Kosta, his sister in law Maria, and his grandchildren, Maria, Melina, and George.
