With sadness, we announce the passing of Joseph Florio on June 24, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Anna, he leaves behind his children Domenic (Bev), Angela (Marino Tarulli), Vito (Rosa), Rosa and Josie. Proud nonno to Domenica (Tim Murnane), Louisa (Bradley Wamsley), Anna (Francesco Corsano), Daniella (Matthew Bryce), Josephine (Ryan Kirkup), Rocco, Joseph, Nicholas. Proud great-grandfather of Theo and George. Survived by his brothers Victor and Tony (Elena). He will be missed by his canine companions, Coco and Lola.

Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Thursday June 25 from 3-6 p.m. During this time of the COVID Pandemic, Bernardo Funeral Home’s capacity is 20 people. You are welcome to attend visitation; we will keep contact tracing information of each guest and provide you with a mandatory mask if you do not already have one. If we are at capacity in the visitation room, we will take your contact information and kindly ask that you wait in your vehicle until we can accommodate you inside.

A private funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday and private entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
