Liberata Apa

July 14, 1926-June 9, 2022

With sadness we announce the passing of our mother Liberata on June 9, 2022, in her 96th year.  Reunited in Heaven with her husband Angelo and siblings Francesco, Pasquale, Eugenio, Rita, Zaccaria, Dora, Rocco, Sestina, and Mario.  Devoted mother of John (Janet), Gina, and Mary (Ennio). Proud Nonna to Andrea (David), Daniella (Peter), Anthony (Domenica), Melissa (Nick), Matthew (Katherine), Michael and Nicole. Proud bisnonna to Lachlan, Olivia, Benjamin, Scarlett, Harrison, and Abigail. She will be missed by her sister Anna (Pierino), sister-in-law Pina and her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. We are grateful for the care she received by Dr. Giulia Perri and the staff of Baycrest Hospital. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W) from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard de Clairvaux Church (1789 Lawrence Ave W., east of Jane St.). For those that are unable to attend the mass for Liberata in person, please click here to join via zoom. Liberata will be laid to rest at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St. Clair Ave. W, at Caledonia Rd.).
