Obituary for Lorenza Campione (Nigito)
It is with deepest sorrow that the Campione & Calcagno Family inform you of the passing of Lorenza Campione, loving mother to Carmela Calcagno, Cateno (aka Tony) Campione, & Filippo (aka Phil) Campione, their spouses, Giuseppe (aka Joe) Calcagno, Rosalba Spaventa Campione, and Rose Campione, beloved grandmother to Joanne DeBiasio, Filippo (aka Phil) Calcagno, Paul Calcagno, Paul Jr. Campione, Robert Campione, Marie-Therese Campione, Elizabeth-Anne Campione, Catherine-Rose Campione, and Joseph-Paul Campione and beloved great grandmother to Alyssa DeBiasio, Celina DeBiasio, Daniel DeBiasio, Dante Calcagno, Massimo Calcagno, Sienna Campione, Fiona Campione and Luca Campione. Lorenza Campione, who suffered from advanced Alzheimer’s disease, was peacefully called by the Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at the age of 90. To the world Lorenza Campione was but one person – to those who knew her and loved her, she was their world. Thank you deeply for your prayers.
In light of COVID, funeral services will be held as follows:
Visitation on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.).
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by Fr. James Reposkey and Fr. Peter J. Choi
Masks are required to be worn while inside the Church at all times, unless medically necessary not to. Please be advised that there is a maximum capacity allowed in the church due to social distancing
Our beloved Lorenza Campione will be peacefully laid to rest at Beechwood Cemetery during a privately-held burial (only our beloved’s children’s and grandchildren’s presence is permitted at this time).
The Campione & Calcagno families kindly ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Saint Andre Bessette Catholic Church (a naming will be made in honour of our beloved Lorenza Campione with the donations).
