Maria Girimonte-Bruno

July 8, 1965 – January 23, 2023

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Maria on January 23, 2023 at the age of 57. Reunited in heaven with her parents Vincenza and Francesco Girimonte and her sister Gemma. Cherished wife of over 30 years to Sam and beloved Zia of Rose (JohnPaul Micieli) and dear sister-in-law to Joe Cilurzo.

In her work and personal life, Maria could always be counted on to provide support and was a “go to” for loved ones and coworkers alike. She enjoyed the simple things in life, the door to her home was always open and her favourite pass times were enjoying time with her family, finding opportunities to share a chuckle or reminiscing over precious memories. Maria will be remembered for her warm, caring, helpful nature and her contagious laugh. She will deeply missed by all.

Relatives and friends are welcomed to Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Bernard de Clairvaux Church (1789 Lawrence Ave. W., east of Jane St.) on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St., north of Finch Ave.).
