Obituary for Maria Maddalena Fiorante
FIORANTE, Maria Maddalena
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Maria Maddalena Fiorante who died peacefully on January 27, 2021 at the age of 73. Maria Maddalena is survived by her loving husband Donato, and is a cherished mother to Tina (Daniel Marinelli) and Cinzia (John Dibiase), and proud Nonna to Michael and Alex.
Maria Maddalena also known as Lena and Lenuccia, was born on July 4, 1947 in the small town of Civitanova Del Sannio, in Molise Italy. She was born to Nicolino and Vincenzina Finori and her beloved siblings are Angela and Antonino. She immigrated to Canada in 1967 and built a wonderful life and legacy for her and her family.
She was a social butterfly and loved to participate in the many events organized by her social club including day excursions to casinos and weekly bowling league games. Her faith and devotion to God were fundamental in her life. She really enjoyed attending her rosary prayer group and had very strong family values. One of her favorite things to do was bring together her family and friends to share a meal. She had a natural talent for baking and cooking and went out of her way to make every event special with her delicious torrone, pizzelle, ostie, bigné, bechinotti, scorpelle and homemade pizza. She was known for her kindness, thoughtfulness and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace sweet Lena.
A private service will be celebrated on Tuesday February 2, 2021 at 10:00 am with a private interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery and Mausoleum 7241 Jane Street Concord, ON L4K 1A7l.
A memorial mass will be set by our family at a later date.
