Maria Elisabetta Santoro

February 23, 1927-August 6, 2022

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Maria Elisabetta on August 6, 2022, at the age of 95. She is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Ilario (September 2005). Beloved father of Antonio (Donna) and Teresa (Santo Barrera). Proud Nonna of Jennifer (Stephen Gold) and Anthony Barrera (Erica), Christian and Elizabeth (predeceased). Caring Bisnonna to Vincenzo, Olivia, Stella and Lucy. Elisabetta will be remembered by her many relatives and friends in Canada and Italy. A very speical thank you to all of Elisabetta's caregivers and PSW's, especially Cynthia for her compassionate care. She will be dearly missed by her close neighbours on Northumberland St.

Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave.) on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Church (1027 Bloor St., east of Dufferin St.) on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Mausoleum (4570 Yonge St., at 401).

In memory of Elisabetta, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society or Canadian Cancer Society.
