Maria Tassone

November 5, 1939 – January 16, 2023

With sadness, we announce the passing of Maria on January 16, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. Reunited with her parents Giuseppe and Carmela Bertucci. Beloved wife to Francesco and cherished mother of Rosetta, Carmela and Vincenza. Proud nonna of Tanya (Kyle Monaco), Richard (Daniela) Gazzoli and Julianna Gazzoli and great-grandmother to Gabriella, Mauro, Richard Jr., Theodore and Nathaniel. Predeceased by her sister Francesca and her husband Vincenzo, she is survived by her brother Anthony and his wife Caterina.

Relatives and friends are welcomed to Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Bernard de Clairvaux Church (1789 Lawrence Ave. W., east of Jane St.) on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Maria will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery (7300 Highway 27, north of Steeles Ave.).

In memory of Maria, donations may be made to either the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association.
