Marianna Grassa

February 10, 1926 – January 13, 2023

With profound sadness but with grateful hearts for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Marianna Grassa (nee DiDio) on Friday, January 13, 2023 surrounded by the love and care of her devoted family.

She is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Paolo (1983), her loving daughter Rina (2010) and her brothers Giovanni, Salvatore, Damiano and Filippo.

Cherished and dearly loved mother of Nina (Frank), Franca (John) and Mariannina (Sergio). Adored and proud grandmother of Susie (Joe), Enzo (Lori), Paul, Cathy, Sara, Gianluca and Sophia. She was blessed with 8 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Marianna will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

Mamma G had a quick wit, liked to share insightful anecdotes, was always ready for a card game and took great pleasure in preparing delicious offerings for her family and friends.

May God grant her kind and gentle soul rest and may her memory be eternal.

We love you immensely and until we see each other again, you will be forever in our hearts.

Family will receive relatives and friends at the Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John Bosco Church (402 Westmount Ave. – Rogers Rd., east of Dufferin St.) on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Marianna will be laid to rest with her husband at Prospect Cemetery.
