Obituary for Mario Cirillo
With sadness, we announce the passing of Mario on November 8, 2020 at home at the age of 77. Cherished husband for 53 years to Vittoria, he leaves behind his beloved daughters Laura and Rita (Angelo Aretusi). Proud nonno of Stefano, Luca, and Sara. Predeceased by his siblings Francesco and Maria, he will be missed by, Stano, Amelia, Ilda, Santina, Vince and Emma along with his many nieces, nephews and their families.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Thursday from 3-8 p.m. Please note, that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions and social distancing requirements, for the visitation, the funeral home must conform to 30% occupancy capacity. Visitors may need to wait to enter the funeral home in order to maintain the capacity requirement. Face masks are mandatory and contact tracing information will be collected upon entering the building.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Thomas Aquinas Church (640 Glenholme Ave. – Eglinton Ave., east of Dufferin St.) on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. The capacity of St. Thomas Aquinas Church is 90 people and face masks are mandatory.
A private entombment will follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens. Due to the limited number of people allowed in attendance, only the immediate family members will attend the services at the cemetery.
If desired, donations in memory of Mario may be made to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Society.
