We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of the pillar and foundation of our family, Michele (Mike) Carbone. Like the CN Tower he once worked on, Michele was a larger-than-life man, with endless stories to share, poignant advice to give and an unparalleled physical strength. He worked with his hands, throughout his whole life, but worked with his heart in equal measure. And like the Maker he has always been, he has now left a trail of hearts that are forever changed by his workmanship—hearts that will never be the same, in his absence. He mended, molded and fashioned a family he was endlessly proud of. For Michele, his family was his true masterpiece. A legacy for the ages. 

Beloved husband to the late Vitina. Loving Father to Anna (Nicola), Angela, Mike (CarolAnn) and Rita (David). Adoring Nonno to Stephanie (Adam), Emma (Jeff), Salvatore (Josine), Zoë, Mekaile and the late, Austin. Loving Bisnonno to Bruce & soon to arrive baby Lo Iacono. Missed dearly by his sister, Santina, and his late siblings Celeste, Lorenzina, Agnese and Mario and by his loving sisters-in-laws the late Maria, Nella, and Nicoletta. Remembered fondly by his beloved extended family and friends in Canada, his family in Modugno, Italy, and all of those who crossed his path. He will be remembered with great fondness and love, always and forever.    

Visitation will take place on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Bernardo Funeral Homes (2960 Dufferin St., Toronto) from 3-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated from St. David's Church (2601 Major Mackenzie Dr., Maple) on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. At the request of the family, we ask that masks be worn at the visitation and funeral.
