RUSCIGNO, Nick
We do not remember days, we remember moments.
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Nick Ruscigno at the age of 40.
Nick leaves behind his beloved parents, Carmela and Joe. He leaves an unimaginable void in the hearts of his sisters Maria and Michelle, and his brother-in-law’s Vince and Dave. He will be truly and deeply missed by his precious niece Martina. He will forever be held in the hearts of his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. As a little boy, Nick had the most beautiful smile, and his smile just grew bigger and brighter as he got older.
Just Enjoy! That was Nick’s motto for LIFE…
He loved to entertain; sharing meals and making memories…the great food, the wine, the ambiance…Nick took great care of it all…and it was lovely. He loved to travel…especially to the country he often referred to as his “ROOTS”…Nick loved and found pure joy in anything and everything Italian. We often had to remind him he was born in Canada! He loved movies (we will miss his texts letting us know that one of the Rocky movies was on TV), music, and going to concerts. And we will never forget his sense of style and love of clothes and shoes! He cheered on the Toronto FC, the Raptors, Federer, Milan, and Formula 1. Nick was a fierce Montreal Canadians fan. Countless beautiful jerseys…and he wore each and every one proudly! He was the only one in the family (many cousins included)…the rest of us; loyal true blue Leaf fans… This caused for many debates, discussions and laughs around the table.
All in all, Nick’s happy place was with family. Family and friends could count on him for anything. One phone call and he’d be there for you. The phone calls have stopped, but the love, gratitude and joyful memories will never, ever be forgotten. Heaven has gained a special Angel to watch over us.
We love you Nick.
To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters.
We know each other as we always were. We know each other’s hearts.
