Obituary for Nicola Carnovale

With sadness, we announce the passing of Nicola on October 27, 2020 at the age of 80. Predeceased by his beloved wife Rosaria. He leaves behind his children Greg, Angela (Tony Melillo), and Tommy (Lisa). Proud nonno of Nicolas, Peter, Julianna, Sara, and Sofia.

Nicola is predeceased by his siblings Victoria (Ralph Galloro, predeceased) and Ralph (Macrina) and survived by Frank (Angela, predeceased), Teresa (Vito Montesano, predeceased), Mariana (Giuseppe Martino, predeceased), Vito (Vicky), Loretta (Bruno Tedesco, predeceased), Antonio (Anna), and Pino (Teresa). A cherished Zio, he will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families.

Relatives and friends are welcomed to Bernardo Funeral Homes (2960 Dufferin St., South of Lawrence Ave.) on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 2-4, 6-9 p.m. Please note, that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions and social distancing requirements, for the visitation, the funeral home must conform to 30% occupancy capacity. Visitors may need to wait to enter the funeral home in order to maintain the capacity requirement. Face masks are mandatory and contact tracing information will be collected upon entering the building.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Anthony’s Church (1037 Bloor St. W, east of Dufferin St.) on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Please note, that due to the COVID-19 protocols, St. Anthony’s must conform to 30% occupancy and face masks are mandatory.

A private entombment will follow at Prospect Cemetery. Due to the limited number of people allowed in attendance, only the immediate family members will attend the services at the cemetery.

In memory of Nicola, donations may be made to either the Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
