It is with profound sorrow, we mourn the passing of our beloved son, husband, father and brother Dr. Oliver Favero, on April 25, 2020 at the age of 52. Cherished son of Adele and Renato (predeceased). Beloved husband of Rosa Lio and loving father to Peter Renato and Leo Serafino. Forever remembered by his sister Sonia (Andrew Bennett) and his nieces and nephew Sarah, Ryan and Lisa. Oliver holds a special place in the hearts of his mother and father in-law Cristina and Serafino (predeceased) Lio and his brother and sister in-law’s Mike (Renata), Emilia (Mike Fernandez), Liliana (Frank Mastrocola) and Domenic (Eileen Sullivan). He was a great zio to Annamaria, Cristina, Carina, Micaela, Joseph, Fenton, and Cormac.

During this unprecedented situation with COVID-19, it is with very heavy hearts that our family has made the difficult decision to hold a private funeral with our immediate family, in honor of our dear son, husband, father and brother, Oliver Favero. We have chosen to do this in order to minimize the threat of spreading the coronavirus. Ultimately, we recognize that the health and safety of our family and friends comes first. We appreciate your love and support at this time, and we welcome your messages of condolence.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either the Canadian Cancer Society or Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation in memory of Oliver.

A tribute and celebration of his life will be held at a later date, when it is safe to do so.

Dr Favero,
Years ago I was looking for a good dentist and my friends told me, we have the one for you. I met Dr Favero at the wedding of Karine and Mike when I asked this smiling stranger to take a picture of us not knowing that this gentleman was going to be my future dentist, a friend, a generous and passionate human being.
I told him that my goal was to become his favourite patient and when I referred patients to him I made sure they were going to be good patients.
I will never forget a beautiful celebration at Dr Favero’s house where at the end of the night we enjoyed beautiful fireworks and one was shaped like a heart and Dr Favero and his wife were watching cuddled together.
You were one of a kind.

I never met you but I know you were a great dentist, father, son and brother. Auntie Erna was especially proud of you. From Barb, your cousin.
