With great sadness, we announce the passing of Panayiotis Filippakopoulos on July 24, 2022 at the age of 89 at Humber River Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, with family by his side.

Cherished husband of 63 years to wife Paraskevi. He is also survived by his brother Spiro (Assimina), his daughters Chryssoula (Rob) and Marie (John), and son Nicholas, as well as his grandchildren Dimitri, Elektra, Payne Philip, and Paris. He is predeceased by his sister Vasiliki, and brothers Constantinos and George.

A visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin Steet - south of Lawrence Avenue) on Sunday July 31 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A funeral ceremony will be held on Tuesday August 2, at 11 a.m. at Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church (136 Sorauren Avenue). Interment will follow at York Cemetery (160 Beecroft Road - Yonge and Sheppard).
