Obituary for Robert Aaron Steeves

Robert Aaron Steeves was born on November 26, 1976, and lived a life of service to God before passing on February 24, 2024, due to health complications. Robert was predeceased by his Father, Wayne Steeves. He is survived by his wife, Cyrielle; sister, Kristen; and mother, Deborah Steeves, whom he all loved dearly.

After attending Ennerdale Road Baptist Church in his youth, Robert continued to serve the Lord by volunteering his time in multiple areas of the Church’s ministry. Much of his energy was spent serving as a Kids Club and Youth Group leader, as well as, the children’s Sunday school teacher. For over 15 years, Robert served the Church as a Deacon, while also working part-time at Home Depot.

In 2013, Robert met his spouse, Cyrielle, and the two were married in 2018, to which he regarded as the happiest day of his life. While he did not have biological children of his own, through his work in the ministry, he became regarded by many as a Father figure - using his limited free time to tutor, give drives, and oftentimes just to lend a listening ear. Not only did he share the gospel with many, he selflessly and generously shared his time and energy to help those in need, always. Robert’s influence on the community around him was great, but he always attributed all the glory to God and never doubted God’s wisdom or direction in his life. He served the Lord with all his strength to the very end and leaves behind evidence of his love for the Lord through the memories of those he is survived by, both family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) for visitation on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated at Ennerdale Road Baptist Church (228 Ennerdale Rd., at Eglinton Ave.) on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Robert will be laid to rest at Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane St., north of Steeles Ave.).
