Obituary for Rosa Fabiano

It is with profound sadness that the family of Rosa (Guerresi) Fabiano announce her sudden passing on Sunday, February 14, 2021. Rosa was 79. Rosa died peacefully at her home while surrounded by her daughters.

Rosa was beloved by her late husband Giovanni. She’ll be deeply grieved by her children Carmela, Raffaella Grace (Pino(Joe) and Pina (Luciano). Rosa will be treasured by her grand children Giovanni (Gianni), Juliet, Taddeo and Siena Rose.  She was sister to predeceased siblings Vincenzo and Franceschina and survived by her sister Raffaela.

Rosa was born in Italy on June 11, 1941. She married her soulmate and together with optimism and hope they carved out a new life in Canada.  Rosa, was a devoted mother who inspired life with courage, strength and Italian traditions.   Her grandchildren were her joie de vivre. She had tremendous skill as a dressmaker eventually working for a notable Canadian designer in Toronto’s Garment District.  Volunteering at the neighbourhood Parish and her passion for food added sparkle to her life.

Rosa had heart. Her human kindness was felt by all who met her. Too many, Rosa was a friend, a mentor, and a therapist She helped out people especially when they lost their way.   To her children she will always be a hero.
