Obituary for Velia Moro
With sadness, we announce the passing of Velia (Val) on March 12, 2021 at the age of 89. Beloved daughter of the late Pietro and Elisa Moro. Survived by her sister Dina Sabbadin. Cherished aunt of Laurie Rodgers, Gerald Sabbadin (Michele) and Paul Sabbadin. Forever remembered by her great-nieces Meghan Rodgers and Reilly Sabbadin, and great-nephews Wynne Rodgers and Kaiden Sabbadin.
Val was born and raised in Kirkland Lake, ON, where she began her life-long career with CIBC that soon lead her to Toronto. An avid traveler, she collected trinkets and stories to share with her family and friends that eagerly awaited in Kirkland, Toronto and Italy.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Homes (2960 Dufferin St., Toronto, south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, attendees will need to reserve a time slot for visitation. A private funeral service will be held in the funeral home following the visitation at 8:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are welcomed to participate virtually via Zoom:

A private cremation will follow with internment at Prospect Cemetery, Toronto, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Velia may be made to the Humber River Hospital Foundation.
