Obituary for Vincenzo Ligato

Vincenzo Ligato

It is with great sadness that the family of Vincenzo Ligato announces his passing. After a
lengthy and courageous battle with his declining health, Vincenzo passed away peacefully on
March 21, 2021.

Loyal and devoted to his wife Bruna. Loving, supportive father to Bruno (Paula), Natalie,
Domenico (Maria).

Overjoyed Nonno to JohnLuke, James, Thomas, Bruna, and Antonio. His grandchildren were
his pride and joy and his unconditional love for them will be cherished and felt till past time.

Vincenzo will be fondly remembered for his love of family, and for his generosity in helping
family and friends in need. Vincenzo immigrated to Canada with his wife Bruna in July 1966.
They arrived in a new country with a small suitcase full of hope for a better life. Vincenzo
worked very hard to create a comfortable life for his family. Vincenzo worked in construction
with Local 183. In 1985 Vincenzo built a dream home for his family which they still reside in.
Vincenzo was a man of high standards and anyone who worked with him could appreciate his
extensive working knowledge and capabilities.

Vincenzo enjoyed visiting paesani and friends, having his glass of wine and his afternoon
coffee. He made the best salami, enjoyed making his wine and homemade grappa.
He will be sincerely missed and his spirit lives on through the hearts of many people he
touched. Vincenzo was very devoted to Padre Pio.
