Obituary for Zelinda Zanon (Boccalon)

With sadness, we announce the passing of Zelinda on September 3, 2020 at the age of 92. Predeceased by her beloved husband Aldo (April 18, 1981) and her daughter Nadia (December 10, 1999). Loving mother to Diane (John Medeiros) and proud grandmother of Victor and Nicholas. Predeceased by her siblings Elio, Gino and Vilia and survived by Margherita and Rina. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families.

Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Friday, September 4, 2020 from 3-8 p.m. Please note, that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions and social distancing requirements, for the visitation, the funeral home must conform to 30% occupancy capacity. Visitors may need to wait to enter the funeral home in order to maintain the capacity requirement. Face masks are mandatory and contact tracing information will be collected upon entering the building.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John Bosco Church (402 Westmount Ave. – Rogers Rd., east of Dufferin St.) on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. Please note, the capacity of St. John Bosco Church is 60 people and face masks are mandatory.

Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St. Clair Ave. W., east of Caledonia Rd.).

In memory of Zelinda, donations may be made to the Matthews House Hospice.
