Carmela Amoroso (nee Paulozza)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carmela Amoroso on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Humber River Hospital at the age of 87. She has been reunited with her cherished husband Pompeo (1996) and her beloved son Nicola (2016). A loving and devoted mother to her daughter Angela and to her son-in-law Donato. A proud and cherished Nonna to Paul and Mark. She was a loyal sister to Donatina (Domenic), the late Lucia (the late Gabriele), and the late Francesco of Italy. A dear sister-in-law to Donato and Filomena. She will be greatly missed by relatives, friends, nieces, nephews and their families.

Carmela will always be remembered for her love, kindness, strength and perseverance. Family, friends and faith were of the utmost importance.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, our family has made the difficult decision to hold a private visitation. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.. Relatives and friends are welcome to participate virtually via Zoom:

Following the service, Carmela will be laid to rest with her husband and son at Westminster Cemetery. Due to the limited number of people allowed to be in attendance, only the immediate family members will attend the services in the funeral home and at the cemetery.

Donations in honour of Carmela can be made to Humber River Hospital or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Carmela, You were my mom's best friend. I loved having coffee with both of you. I enjoyed talking to you. Loved your laugh, and best smile.

Cara Zia, you hold a strong place in our hearts. You have been a kind woman with a gentle smile. We enjoyed the many family gatherings and conversations. You have been a sweet sister-in-law to our parents, and they will miss the conversations and coming over for coffee. Serena will miss visiting and bringing over some sweet-goodies. We will miss you greatly. Rest in peace.
