Obituary

DI BUONO, Giuseppe

Heaven needed an angel, so they called upon our Dad. Quietly, gently and softly, God took him by his hand. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppe Di Buono, on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the age of 64.

He is now reunited with his parents Saverio and Concetta Di Buono. He will be dearly missed by his Beloved Wife, Erminia Di Buono. Forever treasured by his Children, Jennifer (Paulo) Martins, Saverio (Nancy) Di Buono, Jonathan (Michelle) Di Buono, Sara (Jeffery) Borges. He will be forever adored by his Grandchildren, Joshua, Matteo, Gianna and Ciara. Missed by his sister Mary(Pino) Franze. And forever remembered by many family and friends.

Giuseppe (Joe) was one of a kind. He was full of love, laughter and life. Those who had the honour of knowing Joe knew how special he was. He was a loving Husband, astonishing Father, and adoring Grandfather. Joe adored his family, and wanted nothing more than to always be surrounded by them. He will be greatly missed not only by his immediate family, but also by his extended family and friends. His larger than life personality will live on forever in his loved ones. Until we meet again.

Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Tuesday, September 15th, 2020 from 3 - 8 p.m. Please note, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions and social distancing requirements, for the visitation, the funeral home must conform to 30% occupancy capacity. Visitors may need to wait to enter the funeral home in order to maintain the capacity requirement. Face masks are mandatory and contact tracing information will be collected upon entering the building.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Avenue West at Dufferin Street) on Wednesday, September 16th, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. followed by Entombment at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst Street, north of Finch Avenue).

Zio I miss you so much. I still can’t believe that your gone. I know that your watching over your family with Nonna and Nonno by your side. Every time I would go visit Nonna you would always call me to ask me what time I would be there so you can be there as well so we can all sit in the lobby together and have a coffee. Zio my heart breaks every time I think about those times. You were an amazing husband, dad, Nonno, Zio, brother and friend. I will forever miss you and love you.

Love always
